First Ocean Swim Training

Today was Tian's first ocean swim training with Sheryl McLay.
It went really well and she has been separated into the more competent group which was pushed a little harder. As you can see by the bottom right picture Miss Tian was exhausted when she finally hopped out of the water.

Talent Showcase

Tian performed as part of a Matamata Intermediate's Talent Showcase. She along with Alisha and Paige performed a flute trio and then she was part of concert band.
I wonder if you can spot her?

Group Day 2013

Today I had group Day. I believe that mischief and I did rather well.  Mischief and I won Call & Follow and Leading for senior lamb. Chelsea, Lola and I won the three person leading. We got second in Rearing, reserve champion for overall leading and finally the Overall Champion of Champion lambs, with a total of 29/30 points. There are some photos of today attached hope you enjoy. I will be going to the Waikato show this Friday so will post my results from that as soon as possible.

Granddad John brought home some of my favourite food strawberries. Yum I know what will be for dessert tonight. Yeah.

Getting set for Spring gardening

Today we visited a fabulous garden centre called Grower Direct, a fantastic range of veggie plants and other plants too.
We've stocked up on terrific selection of seedlings to continue filling our veggie garden - yum, my stomach is rumbling in anticipation.

Walkies...

Not every family has the pleasure of walking a variety of species when then hit the tarmac.
Miss Mischief can be a bit of a hazard at times as she performs lamb acrobatics. HT is always grateful for the fact that the lamb only does a short stint and he gets to continue on for longer.
Today we worked hard on tidying Mischief up before her next outing at Group Day on Tuesday. Here's hoping that she can manage to be a good lamb for both Call and Follow and the Leading, fingers crossed (and toes).

Graduation Dress Editing

Mum has been kindly gluing of little swarkowski  crystals onto my graduation dress. This is her working hard.

MIS

MIS, or more commonly called Matamata Intermediate School, has been a fantastic middle school for Tian. She has had a huge range of opportunities and access to awesome learning. As a mum it boggles my mind that she has less than a term left at Intermediate before she enters the big wide world of "College" (or High School).
Words don't do justice to the gratitude I feel towards MIS for providing Tian with such a brilliant two years.

An easy read with some slightly odd features but enjoyable. Star rating 3-4.

Surf Life Saving Board Training

Tian had her very first ever board training sessions today. She started out extremely nervous but gained in confidence and really enjoyed it in the end. Keen to go back again next week.

Today I got a new duvet cover. I had changed my room around and I decided that this duvet was the one for me.

The Littlest Cook

Tian cooked dinner tonight - milanese chicken, sticky rice and salad. Everything was delicious and she took it all very seriously, making a menu, wearing an apron, etc.

Five Minutes of Fame

Miss Mischief was a very good girl overall at her very first show. She and Tian won 2nd in the call and follow, 4th in the leading and 6th in the rearing. Very proud!!!
Afterwards we went into Matamata and met up with Jamie and Maria for a late lunch and chat which was wonderful too. Loads of tourists stopped and patted lambie and many of them took her photo - she will now grace the pages of many an album across the world.
While we were there the show Jono and Ben at Ten was filming so little miss nappy-clad lamb and the girls had to have a few pics with them. We'll have to record the show next week and see if they make the cut.

Project Number 2 - Boot Racks

After stepping in to a very soggy boot one too many times then seeing some simple inspiration at Pirongia Market last weekend I have built us some boot racks.

Movie Time

Spent a gorgeous day, firstly going to  movie and out for lunch, with Tracie and Starr. Then doing a spot of shopping and general wandering around Rotorua.

The movie we chose was Turbo; an animated tale about a snail who dreams BIG. Funny and a lovely message to go with it :-)
